Updating OpenClaw on my DigitalOcean droplet. There are different issues with every upgrade. This document describes the trials and tribulations of each update.

After hearing all the excitement and hype about OpenClaw I decided I wanted to find out more about it. So I decided to try setting up my own instance of it. I selected to have a first go on the cloud, and I chose DigitalOcean as the service provider. The went smoothly at first, but then…. I hit a couple of snags, after help from AI I managed to sort the problems and get it up and running, here’s the full story…

1. I created this markdown file in the Hugo source directory
2. Ran hugo to build the static site
3. Used rsync to deploy to the live server

Total time: a few seconds.
